Using vinegar for a natural clean

It’s time. SPRING CLEANING is here. While here in San Diego almost every day feels like spring, the first day of spring is Sunday March 20. In a post on our FB page on January 21, we got you started by hanging your cloths backwards in the closet but more on this later. Over the next 8 blogs RED will guide you through 8 steps to spring cleaning without being a slave to the process.

Let’s face it, having everything nice and orderly just makes you feel better.  It makes me feel like I am in control of my life. Knowing where my things are and that they are clean and ready to use is a great feeling. There is nothing worse that running around frantically looking for something you know you have. This 8 step process to spring cleaning will help you get your home in order without being a slave to the process.

What you’ll need:

  • Cleaning bucket
  • Ivory dish detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Squeegee
  • Car chamois (Costco sells these in bulk and they are great for cleaning!)
  • Optional: Car washing glove (looks like over-sized terrycloth mitten)
    Shelf liner
    Cedar products or herb sachets
    Shelf dividers

RED avoids using harsh chemicals because they are not safe for you, your family nor the environment. You have a couple of days to run out and get these things before we get started. So don’t delay, stock up now and be prepared for step number 1 to getting your house spring clean!
